Black Friday 2009: What did you get?

This year I spend an hour at Sports Authority with my family. We waited in line for one hour and we were about the 20th-25th in line. The first 80 people in line get a bonus buck card that is worth $10-$500, we got a total of $55 from our bonus buck cards.

-University of Washington Hoody WAS: $50 NOW: $14.99
-University of Washington Hoody w/zipper WAS $60 NOW: $42 (but the cashier accidentally charged us only $14.99 for it)
-Penn Pressureless tennis balls 18 pack (x6) WAS 18.99ea NOW: $4.99ea
-Nike Monarch III Shoes WAS: $62 NOW: $39.99
-Alpine Design Hannah Short Suede Boot: WAS $39.99 NOW: $12.50

TOTAL $57.40

 • Dual Core 2.2GHz Processor
 • 320GB / 7200rpm HDD
 • 4GB DDR2 RAM
 • 6 Cell Battery

Yeahhhhh. That’s pretty good for the money paid. The only thing it lacks is a dedicated graphics card.

Nothing: $0 Now: $0

Nothing unfortunately. I didn’t pack enough money to make the purchases I wanted to, since I didn’t really plan on buying anything after work.

Candles- $60
Random other gifts- ~$100

The candles were heavy to carry around the mall for two hours.

Left 4 Dead 2

$30

brought with me quite a few hundred to do some big shopping for myself…and i spent $10 in bath & body works on a gift for my mother. and i was at the mall for probably like 5 hours.

I bought nothing!

WOOOOOT.
Though, for some odd reason, my mother just got the primal urge to go shopping, so we’ll be at the mall tomorrow, sorting through all the stuff that even black friday shoppers didn’t want.

boo.

Sort of black friday, but not really because of Black Friday deals…

Yesterday:
Motorola Droid- $140 + 2 year contract
Today:
New snowboard boots

The motorola droid is amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

I went shopping for myself since my birthday is coming up and no one will tell me what they want for Christmas. I just got some winter clothes since I basically have none.

For Black Friday, I mainly shopped online. I bought Halo: ODST for $30 from Amazon and two 3 $10 pack gift cards for $25 from Best Buy.

^
The Droid may be the best Verizon phone, but it is nothing compared to the iPhone.

Mmm… I think the Droid comes pretty damn close, if not better than the iphone (coming from a guy who had an Ipod touch and easy access to wifi at school and at home)

I have the iPhone 3GS on T-Mobile and the Droid seems rather sluggish to it in comparison (even though they have the same processor.) It also is not as good for multimedia. Especially video playback, third party apps, and web browsing. The Droid is a good phone and it is better in some areas: camera and, for some, the physical keyboard (not me). Overall, however, I prefer the design of the iPhone 3GS and cheap prices I get using it unlocked through T-Mobile.

Good point there, although I like the Droid’s Android OS much better. Granted, it’s not as smooth as the iPhone in terms of usage, but it has a lot more functionality IMO.

Extensive TTS, Voice Search, Navigation with TTS, Google Voice, and more extensive 3rd party apps (such as Locale, which lets you set phone settings depending on location, time, etc.)

Although the iPhone has more polish, I feel that the droid has more capability overall.

An envelope necklace (apparently it has a little message inside it but I can’t open it!) - $22

supporting my local businesses!

Skirt and tank top at Rave: both $2.99 (summer sale!!!)
Vest at Belk: $7.49 (down from $30)
2 necklaces at 4ever21: both $4.80
An AMAZING pretzel: $2.69 (it was worth it)

Brown Jacket: $35
Brown Boots: $30
Harijuku Perfume Giftset: $40

All from TJ Maxx. My place of love! <3

Well I went out today and got some really nice fitting stuff. Fitted white dress shirt from express for 15 after discount, a funky slim plaid dress shirt from h&m for 30, then 2 slim dress shirts (black, light blue) from another place that was selling h&m shirts for only 6 bucks (lol), a scarf/skinny tie from h&m, and a new running watch for track for 15.

I really wish I didn’t get a pea coat earlier, h&m had a fantastic fitting one, although it was 149.

I caught a cold - does that count?
