Im looking to study international relations and economics, and hopefully somehow tie in latin american studies and african studies. Im also very interested in the middle east, and I want to learn Arabic in college, on top of the Spanish I already speak.

So whaddya think?

of course you have a chance. Besides being a qualified candidate anyway, being a minority REALLY helps

o wow--i think u have a GREAT chance...

Your SAT I score is better than mine (1490) and our SAT II's are similar (750+ for me). I'm also in Washington, although I am black/latino (Cuban)/white.

People have said, previously, that I have a good shot at the better schools, and I can only assume that you have an even greater chance at Ivy success. Just figure out which schools you like the most and ED, if you have a particular favorite.

Good luck on your apps.

i think you have a great shot and just about any of those schools. im sorry to hear about your injury. :-(. but im glad you are ok now.

you're likely in at most of them, but even being a minority, you never know with harvard, yale, stanford

like B2K said...

bump bump bump

bumppppp come on ppl give me a bone here lol

YES YES YES!!

If you want to talk about minority admissions, particularly at Dartmouth (I'm a Dartmouth class of 2006) PLEASE email me. I would love to be of help to you.

But in brief, as a minority, NEVER underestimate your chances. No one is ever guaranteed, but I would bet anything you could get in virtually anywhere with that SAT score.

bump it like bumper cars

C'mon. Do you even have to ask? 1550 SAT and you're black (no offense), but you're getting in. NOW, if you're Asian... that's another thing... I have a 1480 SATs and am not even sure if I'll make it into Stanford.

I think you have a great chance at getting in! And yay for JSA! =)

Ivies are always a roll of the dice, but if you can't get in, I'm not sure who can. That being said, what are your safety schools? You should have at least one - and maybe a few that would give you merit aid. (Maybe money isn't an issue - but most parents are happy to get a break!) So sorry about your injury. Lucky for you, you've got a lot going for you! Good luck.

Yall have been awesome, thanks for the support on the injury topcat. As for safety schools.....im not sure what I should be looking at as far as my interests. What do you guys think would be good, solid choices?

bippity bizzump

no you don't have a shot at
