First time posting! My DS, who’s currently a junior, is looking at a possible degree in music education. We get the difference between a BA and a BM, but noticed that some schools offer a Bachelor of Music Education (BME). What is the difference (if any) between a BME and a BM in music education?
My son is a music Ed major one semester from graduation and I do not know the answer to this question. I suspect there is no difference. My son’s degree will be Bachelor of Music in General, choral, and instrumental music (teacher certification). I see one of the other schools he applied to offered a BMEd degree and it looks the same.
