Hi, I'm a senior this year, and I want to major in biomedical engineering (I think). Well, I've always loved science, math, and health so I figure bme is the best major for me.

I'm currently applying to:
Stevens
Lehigh
Hopkins
The College of New Jersey

The problem is, I don't think that this is enough! Where else should I apply?

I don't want to go somewhere super-competitive where there is a ton of pressure, but I also don't want to breeze through college. Basically, I'm looking for a happy medium. I live in NJ and I don't want to go too far away.

And does anyone know about the BME programs at Bucknell, uconn, or university of hartford?

Thank you for the help! I really do appreciate it.

..Oh, and here are some stats:
SAT: CR 640, M 680, W 800
SAT II: Bio 760, Math II 760, Math I 740
I take all APs and I'm the editor-in-chief of the school newspaper. Also President of Italian National Honor Society, and secretary of Interact Club (community service club).
I'm a four-year varsity bowler, too.

First of all, depending on your GPA, you might want to add more competitive schools to the list.

What about Rutgers??? It has a fantastic reputation in biomedical engineering, stronger than TCNJ. I would also consider adding RPI and WPI if those types of schools appeal to you. And NJIT is good as well, perhaps as a back-up.

Bucknell has a good program but the school itself didn’t appeal to me. University of Connecticut and Hartford engineering is not as strong as Rutgers so I don’t see any reason you’d want to go there.

Oh, whoops, totally forgot to include my GPA. I have a 4.823 weighted, and I honestly don’t know what that is out of 4.0. I get high A’s in all my classes.

I do want to apply to Rutgers also, but I’ve been told that it’s not safe, it’s too big etc. But I think I should still apply anyway.
