<p>I also suggest reading the student handbook for each school considered. You will get a better sense of how a given school matches with your values and you can glean important information about support systens and pastoral care. </p>

<p>Schools differ in some areas (parietal visits is an example), and I thought that it helped us get a better feeling for everyday life at the school.</p>

<p>Defer decisions on final “fit” until a few admissions arrive - “love the school that loves you” will take you far. Apply to a range of acceptable schools. Choate is difficult to get accepted to even for the best applicants.</p>
