I usually score 33s or 34s on the practice tests in the red book and from all other 'real ACTs.' However, on the test given last saturday, I BOMBED the reading section (I usually get above a 32 but I know for a fact I've already gotten 6-7 wrong). I'm completely beside myself ; the questions were so easy but I was freaking out that I wouldn't have enough time and I didn't read the passage thoroughly enough. Ugh. Has this ever happened to anyone, or is there any advice you can give? I've been practicing for MONTHS and I can't believe it all just slipped through my hands. Thank you so much!

Also...if you took it, how was it for you?

Well, I got a 34 on the reading portion on the October 27th ACT. I literally didn’t answer two questions because I had no time, but I must have done well on the other 38 questions and the curve was lenient. I learned that the ACT reading does not test your ability to comprehend the material. Rather, it focuses on whether you are lucky enough to get the specifics. So, you don’t even need to read the passages. Just read the questions and the first and last paragraphs of each essay.

I also took the December ACT. I thought the reading was pretty easy, but I know I got at least one wrong, just by reading all of the convos on CC.

I did the same thing. Got a 34 on a practice test, but I had to guess on he last 7 on the actual test.

I literally bombed it. Dont even wanna say what I got…

I got a 29…meh…-6 too so I wouldn’t call it a lenient curve
