Books for Environmental Science & Human Geography?

I am self-studying both of these AP tests. Zero background in either subject (though I know some ecological stuff from biology that could be useful for environmental science). I've read the stickies on AP book suggestions, but I'm just looking for a little extra input before I make my final decisions.

So far I am thinking REA for Human Geography and PR + Smartypants for Environmental Sciences? Are these books enough to get a 4/5 on the AP exams (preferably 5)? Any other useful books? People here have said Smartypants is pretty good for ES but on amazon the reviews are pretty bad.

Help please? :D

The books you have in mind seem pretty solid. Environmental Science and Human Geography are both very easy courses, so those books seem plenty to get a 4 and even a 5. If you want to spend the extra $15 or so, you should buy the barron's review just for reinforcement but I think REA will be enough. Study hard and good luck on the exams!

Smartypants is definitely good.

For Human Geography last year, my daughter used the Ethel Woods book.

I've always heard that Barron's is best for Human Geography and that Smartypants is the best for Environmental Science. Good Luck.

ethel woods for humgeo is the hidden treasure.
also, ap achiever for enviro.

Don't know about Environmental Science, but for Human Geo the answer is Barron's. No exceptions.
