Yes, as long as you got the 3 or higher. My CCC didn’t post the AP units on my application until I was in Spring semester…oh geez…I wonder how many freaking units I have…>__<;; Now that I got my IGETC thing certification coming up and I got an unofficial copy of my transcripts, I see that I got “CR” for the AP classes and the CCC class that relates to them…

EX: AP Spanish Literature - Spanish 102 (5 units) I got a CR.

If you choose cal: Get your weed tolerance as high as you can
If you go to UCLA: Practice your beer pong skills this spring so you can show off your skills to the so cal crowd
If (by some reason) you go to UCSC: Get used to having sex with girls who don’t shave their legs

652316541: no those stats will not help you get into UCLA and UCB, a 3.75 isn’t competitive in an impacted major

From what I’ve heard, being in TAP at Cal doesn’t affect admission. The people just show you how to fill out the forms and write the essays
**
i don’t think you’re going to get into either, no TAG’s?
**
My stats:

UCLA and Cal
GPA: 3.94
Major: Business Econ and Admin (Haas)
EC’s: General stuff, you know the drill
Essay: I thought it was good i dunno what it counts for

grey: What about the people who are chanced as “reaches” or get put down who end up getting accepted? Preference of false hope has nothing to do with all the people here doing “chance mes”. HS/Transfer students are anxious at these times, they want to find solace wherever they can. I don’t know about you, but I found real hope in previous years decisions + online stats vs. someone rating me 0-10 based on my application.

All of the prerequisites for UCB are completed, beside Chemistry II which is on the recommended list.
UCLA, 2 courses are missing which are not offered in my community college, I guess not even in any CC . They say that those courses must be taken in UCLA.

UCB: TAP, Starting point mentoring, UCLA: TAP

Work Experience: Math Tutor, Salesman

Conducted Summer research at Berkeley (LBLN) through TAP

EC: member of bunch of clubs

Essay: I guess it was okyae!! wrote how I ran from my country to the united state for refuge, have learned the value of good education. How I am interested on physics and eastern metaphysics :P

eminent I would be extremely suprised if you didn’t get into UCLA, and you should also be fine for UC B. Since you have TAP at both, I think you’ll get in.

Chance Me:

ARC and Sierra
Major:Psychology
GPA: 3.48
Applied to: UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, UCD
Accepted: No Where
Rejected: No Where

I have almost all my prereq’s done. I will have 61.5 units done after this semester, and 67.5 after summer is over. The only prereq’s missing for me are Stats(but I took the AP test for it and got a 3), and some of the other prereqs and articulated for my CC.

I have Tag with UCSD and UCSB

Work: Cashier, Lifeguard, Clerk and EOP&S Tutor

EC: I had a whole bunch in high school(last year) but this year all I have is Drums(I’ve been playing for almost 9 years)

Essays: One is really good, it was about how when I saved a child as a lifeguard one time, it changed me… The second one is ok its about how I decided upon psychology and specifically interest me.

Additional: I’ve only gone to a CC for one year, about 27.5 of my units are from AP test.

tekierz:
I have talked with almost most of the uc representatives about transfer requirements. They told me that even if you are missing 1 prerequisite class you should be fine.
So I guess you should be fine for UCD, UCI and same thing with UCSD and UCSB.

Just wait for few weeks, I am sure that you will get into at least one or two of em.

I doubt on your chance to get accepted into UCLA and UCB…

Thanks for not quoting the sentence before that. Look at this thread, how many competitive and well qualified applicants have asked for “chance mes”? They don’t need false hope, they just want a pat on the back. It’s those on the lower end of the GPA spectrum that would be in need for false hope here. You continue to dance around my main points. My proposal was that for those who have high GPAs/great ECs can find acceptance rates for particular majors from past years on various UC admission statistic sites. Those who might not have the strongest GPA can find plenty of individual cases on CC from past years who have been accepted to top tier UCs.

EC: 200+ hours of volunteer work for the county (Got an award), one part-time job on campus in an office, and another part-time job in an animal hospital

Statement: I thought it was pretty nice from what I remember, I wrote about veterinary school in the first (Which I’m not too interested now, ironically) and being a volunteer in the second one.

okay dude, I see exactly what you’re saying, and I agree about people looking for an ego boost, but you are taking what I said out of context.

Now, what does that have to do with those who do not need false hope? Nothing. I was referring to those at the bottom of the GPA spectrum which you said yourself seek solace anywhere they can (although you lumped those at the top of the GPA spectrum, too - I’m not). I’m not dancing around your main points, you just misinterpreted my only point.

CSULA, PCC, ELAC
Major: Nursing
GPA: 3.84-3.90-Not entirely sure how to calculate it. I used the AMCAS conversion and it gave me a commulatative 3.84 gpa. When I calculated under quarter system, I got 3.90.

All of the prerequisites were completed. I was able to report my organic chemistry and biology 100C grade after fall 08 was completed.

EC: Joined various clubs and did community service

Essay: I would give it like a 8/10. It was very well written, yet I felt that it could have explained more on why to pursue nursing. I only heavily focused on the supplemental. The other two essays from UC application were okay and went to the point. It took approximately 700 words total I believe.

Additional: Letter of recs were from my general chemistry professor and a M.D.

I felt I could’ve done a better job by submitting my supplemental early. Yet getting the letter of recs and devoting a lot of time on the personal statement prevented me from submitting it early. However, SON does not having “rolling” admissions, so I hope I don’t get penalized. Also, under IGETC I accidently added my AP CALC AB score to fulfull the math portion.

Yeah, I know its a UC transfers forum. I used to attend PCC, ELAC, and CSULA simultaneously. At the moment only CSULA. I applied to UCLA’s generic prelicensure program…

ah…sorry, some of the things you wrote down didn’t really go with a regular UC applicant (letter of rec, GPA which everyone usually is sure about…)

Do UC transfer’s with nursing majors need letters of req for UCLA?

Last years admits had an av GPA of 3.34, if your GPA is what you think is it, I think you stand a great shot at getting in to Nursing (for RN’s)

If you applied to Nursing (pre lice) then your a competitive applicant, but don’t be completely surprised if you don’t get in as the av gpa for that was a 3.81 (which will probably go up this year)
