Bored -> What are my chances for computer science major?

What are my chances? Anywhere from “highly doubt it” or “meh, maybe if ur essay was nice” to “50/50” or “probably”
UC GPA (limit to 8 semesters of weighted classes): 3.9
SAT (highest single sitting): 1960
Major: Computer Science
SAT Math II: Very crappy 680. I submitted it but I wasn’t sure if i should. UC’s claim that submitting a SAT subject test can only help you and not hurt you (since it’s optional)

My UC GPA appears to be slightly below the avg admitted freshman at UCI of 4.04 while my SAT is higher than the avg. But idk how competitive Comp Sci is

I believe UCI puts more weight on GPA than SAT. When I was admitted as a Comp Sci major I had a 4.1 and a 1780 SAT. I still think you have a good chance however. Good luck!

I would say 50/50 since CS is super competitive at all UC’s and GPA/test scores are below the averages. Hopefully the 50% is in your favor and Good luck.
