**~Boston College Class of 2020 Early Action Thread~**

ok. so now I can be stressed the rest of the day!

@avghsdropout for real? Didn’t they say they would send them after school hours?

And now it begins…

Omg I’m freaking out I thought they were all being sent at once?

I think they are toying with us

It is odd that they didn’t say whether they were accepted/deferred/rejected…

Has anyone noticed that the cover photo on the twitter page changed to BC2020? I don’t remember that being there the last time I checked.

@vlindo its been like that for the past few days

I don’t think @avghsdropout got it. Didn’t BC say they would be sending all of the emails out together?

@crowellk2016 Oh ok, I guess I didn’t see it since I was on mobile.

@viola627 yeah I also think they would have tweeted that they emailed them. Also most schools don’t post until after their offices are closed so they aren’t inundated with calls. Also since they said “after-school hours” I assume that applies to both the east and west coast so maybe like 7 pm est?

Yeah @avghsdropout seems kinda fishy  But I’m getting so stoked ._.

@VanishingK You seem calm, I think this forum needs someone who is calm, so thank you!

im nervous!

I’m almost a 100% certain that BC will only release decisions when their office has closed for the day.

same! do you know when that would be ;))

Their office closes at 5 so sometime after that.

This time last year, my daughter and I were anxiously awaiting BC’'s EA results. BC was her absolute - far and away - top choice. When the first wave of acceptances hit social media, (at around 7pm), the tension really set in. It was finally “real”" and we would know whether the SAT tutor, months and months of preparation, essay writing, and the mountains of AP’s was worth it. Just before 11 pm, probably the last tranch to be sent, we received the notice that she had been deferred to Regular Admission. Through the tears, I tried to be encouraging that she still had a shot. Fast forward to May, and once again, we went through the same process. We waited to the very end for the crushing decision that, once again, she was wait listed. Through lots of tears, I tried to remain upbeat and repeated that “at least you still have a chance.” My daughter wrote an impassioned “Why I Really Want BC” letter to admission and we contacted every BC alum we knew, pleased with HS counselors, sent email, etc. Finally, after HS graduation, and sometime in June, she was admitted off the wait list. She is now a freshmen at BC and simply loves the school, her classes, and social life. I am writing this simply to offer a word of encouragement that when EA results are announced this week, for many its not the end, only the beginning. The process may be long but you can overcome even when the odds seem stacked against you. I sincerely wish everyone the best of luck.

wow @NedTNolan. good story.

not having anything better to do, I called BC admissions. They are not admitting that any emails are coming today. They said by Friday evening. I’m not sure I can wait 3 more days.
