**~Boston College Class of 2020 Early Action Thread~**

@NedTNolan thank you for your encouraging words! Not surpirsed your daughter loves it, it’s truly an amazing school!

Did they admit that they weren’t coming today

@Waiting4College I think they would tweet like they have the past two days if they were positive they weren’t emailing them today

my heart is palpitating for my son. I just want it to be tonight! can anyone answer if it will be a mass email or staggered?

@wildwood707 my heart is palpitating too! we are unsure but admissions did say they’d be sent at once, I assume that means mass email but who knows!

I think its a mass email and that it is coming today simply because a lot of people asked on letter signing tweet and they never denied its not coming today. Their office is closed and they would have posted like yesterday.

Two weeks ago today BC Admissions tweeted a meme with Adele’s new album cover saying “hello. It’s me. I was wondering if you’d like to hear in two weeks” so I’m hoping it’s accurate!!

!!!

Looking through last year’s EA thread makes me so nervous… Some crazy qualified people got deferred! I can never predict college outcomes.

If it hasn’t come at 5:00 like
most other schools, I am guessing it’s coming at 7:00

Because their office is now closed and they have yet to tweet that there won’t be decisions released today (like they said monday and tuesday), I think it’s safe to say that tonight is the night!

I just want to make sure, has anyone’s portal changed? Mine has not but I just want to see if that’s the case for everyone

If I chose to take AP Gov instead of a fourth year of a language will it hurt me a lot

@fflzataraa their office isn’t closed yet. they close at 7 PM EST on wednesdays lol

Hey guys! I’ve never posted on College Confidential before but I thought I’d share my story with you in the hopes that it will help with the nerves. I’m a current freshman here at BC and loving it- but my journey here wasn’t easy at all. I had all the right stats to get in and, in my opinion, my essays were strong. BC had been my top choice for the entire college admissions process and all I wanted for Christmas was an EA acceptance. My experience was similar to the one @NedTNolan described, though. I was deferred from early action. It crushed me, especially since it seemed that people with weaker applications were accepted and I was deferred. I demonstrated more interest over the winter and early spring in the hopes that I’d be accepted regular decision. Alumni wrote letters for me, my principal called BC on my behalf and I emailed my admissions counselor to reaffirm my strong interest in attending. When I learned I was waitlisted, I was ready to give up. My best friend’s mother convinced me to pursue the waitlist because BC was my dream and I couldn’t just give up on it. Lo and behold I was accepted off the waitlist! It wasn’t an easy journey, but I’m here and I love it. I urge you all to remember that no matter how crushed you may be as a result of a deferral, it isn’t a rejection! Show your interest and reaffirm your desire to attend. And if you’re waitlisted, do it again! If Boston College is your dream school, don’t give up on it. I remember so well the feeling I had this time last year. I hope you all get accepted and I’ll see you on campus next year! Merry Christmas and good luck!
