4.3, but my extra-curricular activities and essays I think were what put me over the top.
Ah. I will have a 4.0 by the time RD rolls around. My ECs and essays are pretty solid I think. Idk we’ll see.
Hi Anyone know how much we end up need to pay for BC with EFC 7700? My daughter is applying to BC ED2! any advices will be appreciated!
Hi kp. If you do a through NPC calculator is very accurate. I can take a shot a helping you if you are unfamiliar. But I will need certain financial info. You can direct message me. Or do you have any home equity. Trusts you may benefit from. Etc
Can i get in ED2 with a 3.66 GPA?
What is you test score?
Hi @privatebanker, it appears to me that you have great knowledge of the admissions process for universities. I am happy to say that I was accepted to BC! In my acceptance letter, to CSOM, it stated that I was given 4 years of guaranteed housing. I’ve read many things online stating that 4 years of housing is given to athletes, nursing students, presidential scholars, and honors students. The only thing that applies to me is the presidential scholar (I don’t think CSOM has honors anymore). Is it fair to say that I got presidential scholarship consideration or am I reaching? Thank you for your time!
may I ask what your stats were. congrats on acceptance to csom!
That’s fantastic news.
4 years of housing is offered to some, not all athletes. Usually big helmet sports. And hoops. Nursing students because of the clinical etc. and top 10 to 15 percent of the accepted applicants. So congrats. It’s a way to entice you.
It would be from this top group the Gabelli invites are selected naturally.
It’s only 15 spots at most and really competitive obviously. And I don’t know the secret sauce. It’s varied.
You should be very proud of your achievements in a tough time. You will absolutely love BC. First years tough. Worst year is when you have to leave. You won’t want to. You’ll see. Enjoy. And work hard.
I applied for ED1 and got denied. I had a 3.9 weighted GPA with ap’s and honors. I have very strong EC’s and a 34 ACT.
College admissions, though, can be very random. Good Luck!
Hi everyone! I’m applying to the HCE program! I’m hoping someone else here did too and can help teach me how to submit the writing supplement. If anyone knows what to do please let me know!!

the part I’m most unsure about is that my EFC is 0 and money is really tight at schools this year (I am also applying through questbridge as a finalist)
Hi everyone! I’m a current BC freshman studying Econ at MCAS. Lemme know if you have any questions. I’d be happy to help!
I think you have a pretty solid chance of getting in! I’m also a Chinese female with similar weighted GPA (although my unweighted was like a 3.67) the same sat superscore and just a couple more APs and got in regular decision last year. Make sure your common app or the BC supplement was something that either really reflected something super unique and specific about you or something crazy. BC has a heavy focus on the essays and they are all so unique. Good luck!
ahhh thank you so much! do you go to BC now?
Yep! I’m a BC freshman studying Econ in MCAS. I’ve had an amazing time this semester and BC’s covid policy was pretty solid (positivity rate usually always below 0.5% every week).
That’s what I applied ED for lol
@privatebanker also thought I’d update you since you helped me a lot I got 2As and 2A-s in APs fall semester. 2As in regular courses. I’m sending BC a letter when the official grades come out.
Does anyone know around how many people they take from ED 2?
they usually have a 35-40% of all ed applications, they don’t disclose the difference between ed1 and ed2
