Boston College Fall 2012 Transfer

I'm a US citizen & resident but I just started my freshman year at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. While I've only been here for about a month now, I can already sense that this may not have been the best decision for me long-term. While I plan to stay for this year, I am really hoping to transfer to BC's College of Arts and Sciences for next fall (I live and have grown up an hour north of Boston).

I didn't apply to BC out of high school because I honestly just overlooked it, but now I really wish I had. Even though I've emailed some people from admissions who said it won't hurt me, I'm worried that because I won't have credits to fulfill BC's "core requirements" that I may not be accepted. At the same time, I feel like coming from a school that is abroad and prestigious like St A's might give me an edge. Anybody have any advice?

I have a pretty strong HS record, 3.8 GPA UW/4.1 W, tons of ECs, 2060 SAT score, and all 5's on the AP Lit & Comp, AP US Hist, and AP Civics exams. Obviously no college record just yet.

Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
