Oh yeah, I’m actually in a difficult situation because my family wouldn’t qualify for financial aid but we’d still really struggle to pay. I was accepted to the honors college at umass amherst which is a good program and a great deal so I’m having to make difficult decisions about schools I’ve dreamed of going to since I was a kid and what is actually practical.
I did!
@perrypark, re: post #19, re-read the email and make sure it said decisions will be released on March 12. It may have said “the week of March 12.” When they released decisions in December they sent an email stating which week it would be released. Then that week they sent an email saying second half of the week. Just don’t want you to spend your day waiting for a decision to come if it says “week of March 12.” Good luck to you!
I reread it more thoroughly, and you are right. In my nervousness I must have missed that part. Thanks!
I just didn’t want you stressing waiting for 3/12 to be disappointed which makes waiting those last few days seem like they are dragging by even slower. Good luck to you!
Is a 30 act too low for bc? A little worried
@mimimo7890 My daughter’s friend got in (Morrissey) EA with a 30 (rest of application was very strong). It isn’t too low, although it’s on the low side. They will look at everything. Good luck!
Thank you!

should we be expecting a letter with our decision?
@viewsfromthe415 For EA they sent everyone an email that had a PDF of your decision letter. If you are accepted like a week later they send you a folder that has a copy of your admission letter along with some other things for admitted students.
What day did decisions come out last year ?
@mimimo7890 they were March 17th last year according to the decisions thread
.
Since they say “week of march 12th” I’m guessing it’ll be on that Tuesday or Wednesday. Pretty sure they were released mid week last year so that’s my guess.
For EA they sent letters that it would be the week of Dec. 11th. Then on the 11th or 12th they said it would be the later half of the week. This may have been posted on twitter. Decisions were released on Thursday, 12/15 starting at 6pm. Good luck!
Did you also get a postcard regarding to financial aid too?
I heard from a friend who talked with admissions a while back that it would most likely be march 14
They’ll be sending them out the week of the 12th, the rest is up to the postal system. There’s no secret formula or knowledge here.
