Read the thread from class of 2017 and they also sent out the letters on Friday the 22nd so maybe htis year’s will go out on Friday the 20th?
@ConfusedMominMA- The BC site says April 1st but letters are typically mailed out before that. In previous years the letters were mailed out around March 20-25th and always on a Friday. Good luck!
@dreambig101- thanks! Based on what I read in past years’ threads I am guessing letter will go out on Friday March 20th.
The BC adcoms have replied here saying decisions will go out by April 1st. Given there are many thousands of applications to read and discuss, it’s understandable for them to not commit to any date earlier than April 1st, (just in case they need up to that date to get through all of them.)
We haven’t heard anything from BC as far as requesting financial docs. All of my daughters other schools have either accepted her already…or have requested financial documents. Anyone know if this is a bad sign?
@Yokennyr, Did you file the CSS Profile with BC? They had a priority due date of February 1. They don’t use idoc (for tax forms and other docs)through the College Board as some other schools do. Their website says to mail tax forms. I’m not sure if they request them on an individual basis. The whole process of applying for financial aid is confusing with many colleges, particularly the part about sending documents before you know about acceptance.
Yes…CSS was all done on time. And we knew they didn’t do IDOC. Thought it said they would let you know when to send tax documents in. Had been waiting for notification thru the web portal.
Hey @yokennyr, pretty sure everything was due February 1: http://www.bc.edu/offices/stserv/financial/finaid/undergrad/applying_for_aid/prospective.html
If you didn’t have your 2014 returns done, were supposed to submit 2013.
@yokennyr, I called student services around 1/31 because I wasn’t sure how we were supposed to send tax returns when we hadn’t received all w-2s. They said that 2/1 was a priority deadline, and was looser than say an admissions deadline. They will process applications in the order received so it may mean a delay in getting a financial aid notification, but it won’t exclude you from financial aid. The financial aid office was very helpful and friendly. I’d recommend you call if you have specific questions or concerns.
Yep, all handled. Thank you for the replies.
I was just emailing admissions about accessing my agora portal since I never received any information for it and they said they would email me my decision on March 19. I assume that’s when all other decisions will go out.
That’s interesting @Starstudent69. I though BC sent decisions by US mail. @DevlinHall208, can you comment on this? Thanks!
@Starstudent69 are you international?
TWO WEEKS TO GO TURN DOWN FOR WHAT
Deferred from EA… Less than two weeks until our decisions are mailed!! How is everyone feeling?
why is everyone saying less than two weeks? Isn’t the date by Apr.1? Did I miss something?
Do they send the response email or snail mail?
I’m with @collegebound62 I thought we received decisions by mail? Anyone else visiting the Agora Portal terrified their body will betray them and they will click “Withdraw Application”? Just because it is there, on top, in blue? Lol.
@collegebound62- Decisions are mailed out. A large envelope is good news. The portal will also change approximately 3-5 days after the mailing. There will be an F and a P tab that will allow you to pay your deposit and fill out the housing questionnaire. Good luck!!!
some one answer my question, how do people know its less than two weeks?
