Boston College Regular Decision 2019

@Ewhahn3‌ it really would be/

deferred then accepted!!! so excited!!!

@rparris congrats, you’re so lucky!!

congrats everyone!!!

Result: REJECTION. Lol, I’m not really bothered by it. But I am surprised by how many rejections there seems to have been by looking through this thread. Congrats to everyone who was accepted, however!

SAT: 1990
GPA: 3.85 (UW), 4.6 (W)
A lot of good ECs too though.

Anyone have stats on how many are accepted off waitlist? S waitlisted after EA deferral CSOM with 2140 SAT, 4.16 GPA W, ridiculous leadership, stats, community service, captain of soccer team, scholar-athlete award, etc. What a shame - probably would have made it if not for the unbelievable amount of applications this year. Too bad for the many kids who have BC as their first choice that are being knocked out by kids shooting for ivies and have no real intention of attending. I hope for the sake of everyone else they withdraw their acceptances early. Congrats to those who got in and will go!

@jeremydreamer17‌ No we have a 100 point scale, my gpa would be about a 4.6

ACCEPTED!!!

Did anyone else cry when they got in? Tears of joy on my 18th birthday is the best present ever

@jjmopp
hey my stats are somewhat similar to yours. high five! :smiley: rejected too!

@Yocco1‌ On BC’s website, it says ~50-300 students are accepted off the waitlist

@justthatkid That’s quite the spectrum.

Waitlisted for CSOM

just got an email from Urban Outfitters.
No, i don’t want a pair of jeans for $39 i want a college decision :frowning:

Hi all. I’m a mom of a D who just got accepted but it hasn’t been an easy road. I urge all of you to look at this great article from NY Times 2014. It gave us a lot of badly needed perspective about the whole process. Hang in there!! You all will bloom WHEREVER you are planted!

Sorry, it wasn’t 2014. It was this year!!

how do we access financial aid if accepted?

Does anyone else’s letter (mine’s a waitlist) say that they reviewed over 29000 applications for 2,250 openings in the freshman class? That’s like a 7% acceptance rate which can’t be right… ?

@vballgurl They have to admit more people than they have spots. They admit more than 2250 applicants.
