Boston College Transfers

i also.. applied to Boston college .. but to the carroll school of management

I actually don't have that button. Then again I didn't bother sending in my midterm grades or following up at all because I already got into NYU and Cornell. I'll turn down my BC offer if admitted so somebody else can take it, though.

Good luck everyone.

Oh yeah, and you're all right with BC's admissions office is really rude, terse, and not very welcoming at all.

Just to add extra confusion to this issue, some kids over in the BC forum who were waitlisted and still waiting for their final decision got the update. Life is confusing!

Anymore theories about who gets this form and why, or has anyone confirmed with admissions that everyone applying gets it? I don't remember it from last year when my D applied and didn't get accepted.

i called today and they said all decisions have been made and will be sent out tomorrow

WOW! Thanks for the update holdfasttodreams. That means you and my D should know by next Monday, maybe? (You are in CA, she is in Las Vegas.)

Can anyone log in to AGORA and see if there are any status updates, or anything that might hint at a decision?

you're welcome! and yes i am in CA, so i was thinking monday seems about right for me as well! and i tried to log into Agora to see if there were any hints, but nothing has changed for a while for me. what about anyone else??

i remember reading in some threads from last year's BC transfers about enrollment forms on their application status that changed, i think

no changes on my account either

Hey, so for regular decisions Application Status changed (if you were accepted) to:
If you have not previously submitted your Enrollment Confirmation and Housing Guarantee fees, please click here to do so.

If you would like to withdraw your admission, please submit the Admission Withdrawal Form.

If you would like to postpone your enrollment, please submit the Admission Deferment Request.

my friend just got that link and he is a transfer applicant... so I'm assuming that he's in and if any of you have it you are in also.

thank you for that, very helpful! i don't think mine changed, and i'm pretty sure i'm not in (which is ok : ) ... but GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

yeah, I don't have it either... :-(

I got that message. This is great, accepted at Wesleyan and possibly BC all in one day!

Can you tell us where the link was posted?

Check your application status on Agora.

Got my package today. They accepted 75 of 1800 applicants, that's 4%. I feel pretty special about that.

Mlevine...what were your stats? And I am not doubting your an exceptionally talented kid but I am honestly doubting they have a 4% acceptance rate. I am assuming this is the number of spots they have available and that they offered admission to about twice as many, around 150. Congrats though!

I think your probably right, but they worded it funny. The quote is: "From over 1800 applicants, you have been chosen to join the 75 students transfering to Boston College this September".

I had a 3.2 UW in HS with the hardest courseload, 30 ACT. Got a 3.65 at Bard College first semester, taking a pretty hard courseload and extra credits second semester. Doing research, playing rugby, write for the paper.

Congrats Melvine07! Which BC school/major did you apply to?
