(first post, hi everyone!)

On the BU page for “Other Scholarships” (merit) [Other Scholarships | Boston University Admissions](http://www.bu.edu/admissions/apply/costs-aid-scholarships/scholarships/merit/) it says that there are College of Fine Arts Scholarships based on the audition/portofolio review, and to visit the “individual schools website for information”, but I couldn’t find anything.

does anyone have any info on this (amount/name/etc)? thanks!

The CFA scholarships, to my knowledge, are for students MAJORING in that college (music, art, drama). Music student scholarships are for students majoring in music and are based on the strength of the audition. Ditto for drama majors. Art majors submit a portfolio.

These scholarships are NOT for non-majors.

If you are planning to be a music major, check out the music department section in the College of Fine Arts. I think you’ll find the info you are looking for there.

If not, call the music admissions folks in the CFA. They are VERY friendly and helpful.

DS is a BU music grad. He had a $10,000 a year performance award from 2003 to 2007. We were told at the time that his was a generous award. Don’t know if that’s true or not:)

was planning on majoring in art so i guess I’m eligible at least. From what i’ve read it seems like BU isn’t exactly generous with merit aid, so your son must’ve been impressive. thanks thumper1!
