I got wait listed…I have to say I’m kind of shocked. Extracurriculars, essays, etc. all good. Well, I guess I can rule BU out…
@bubbles9 I remember someone saying how decisions are expected to be done by that time but not sure of validity. But i think that’s a reasonable amount of time.
@waitlistman, I hear you there. Back in 2008 , my daughter got her acceptance letter from BU , but it was the weakest offer in terms of aid and merit. I was told that she could appeal ,but she was pretty sure she wanted another school at that point .What we were encouraged to do made absolutely no sense ( it involved non-custodial parent forms being filled out, which would have meant more income, not less )
I can happily say that she had a fantastic undergrad education elsewhere.
Now I am waiting to hear younger daughter’s decision status ( still sleeping )
To be honest, none of us have our hopes up for her to be accepted , and if by some chance she DOES get in, I share your fears.
Also, I know how you feel because mine was rejected in Dec at her first choice and wait listed recently at the next.
Is there anything listed about what merit awards you’ve received on the Applicant Link?
@lje62 I know exactly how your daughter feels. I was rejected by my first choice and Northeastern and BC. I wish her luck if she gets in or wherever she goes!

I’m so shocked and excited! They called me yesterday to tell me. ACT: 28 UW: 3.0 W:4.1
Extracurriculars: Stage Crew, Soccer, Newspaper (Assistant Editor in Chief), Buildon(200 hours community service) The Op-Ed Project (Published in huffington post) Columbia Links Journalism program, Get Covered America Internship, DePaul Startalk Chinese Program, Columbia Links Advisory Board Member.
Didn’t receive Trustee scholarship but fortunately received 38,500 in financial aid. With my scores being low I wasn’t expecting this but I think my essays really helped! Congrats to everyone who got in and if you didn’t there’s a better school that’s a better fit for you out there!

Can you change the college you got admitted to? I got admitted to the college of arts and science but am thinking of sargent college. Also I got the presidential scholarship. Will that interfere?

My son got accepted into CAS (GPA 4.0 UW, 4.4 W - SAT I 780R, 770M, 720W, 9E; SAT II - Math 1 - 740, Math II - 800, Biology 720). He got absolutely no merit aid, so it’s off the table.
