I’m also nervous because I wasn’t very specific in my activity section so I’m worried I’ll look bad. Let me know!!
I asked this earlier on the thread and I got three thumbs down, I’m wondering where my application is lacking? I’m thinking it might be rigor?
No it can’t be rigor, they won’t penalize if your school doesn’t offer enough APs. Hope have taken enough honors courses though. Also the 3 DE courses come to your aid. Your chances are more or less as good as any competitive applicant’s. This year is particularly crazy with test optional and record number of applications. Also depends on the major/school you intend to enroll in. Business and engineering schools are very competitive at BU.
Thanks for your response. I attend a rural public school that does not offer “honors”, but I have been on an advanced track all throughout school and have taken “enriched” courses as they call them. I applied to the college of arts and sciences for behavioral biology, not engineering or business. I also selected that I would be interested in the CGS.
Are you sure you want to attend CGS if they offer you admission? Perhaps you are better off at some other school?
I would much rather attend the college of arts and sciences, but I’ll have to see what other schools I get accepted to. I really love BU though so I’m really hoping for an acceptance. I’m just not sure if I’m a competitor this year, so many impressive people.
Think your rural background will give you an edge. GL.
Thank you!
For ED it was right at 5pm.
But that wasn’t a weekend, right? Hard to believe they will wait until 5pm on a Saturday.
They usually release on Saturdays
For regular decisions it is usually 3rd Saturday of March, as someone mentioned earlier around 6 am, but no later than 9 am EST. This time they seem to push the date by one week to the following Saturday.
last year they released at about 8 AM on Saturday the 21st.
Hi everyone , I applied to BU last year and recorded the time when I got my decision. It came out at 9:10am on March 21st for me. (I also recorded the times for all of my other decisions if you’re interested: (realistic) College Decision Reactions 2020!!! UC, CSU, Johns Hopkins, Boston University, & more... - YouTube). Good luck everyone
I got rejected from Northeastern, feeling pretty bad about BU now
you got this!! college admissions is a gamble and is super random
Thank you so much! All of my more impressive updates were sent in mid February, so I’m hoping that wasn’t too late.
It doesn’t mean you won’t get into BU. But no matter what I’m sure you’ll end up at a place that you love and that loves you back!
Thank you. I’m super bummed about northeastern but I’m really hoping for BU. Hoping my resume helps
me too. i showed more interest in bu tho bc i’ve wanted to go there instead - i hope that will count for something.
