Hey, I realized that there isn’t any discussion about the applicants this year to BU RISE. Anybody else out there applying? I hope you all get your applications done soon, the deadline’s getting close…
Anyway, does anybody have an estimate of how competitive it’s going to be this year? I know that the number of applicants they get every year increases. If I had a B in math junior year, does that disqualify me??
@futurezhou Congrats! Last week I received an email saying they were reviewing my application. How long after you got this email did you get the acceptance?
I got my acceptance yesterday for the internship track. I’ll be doing medical research in the department of ophthalmology. I was wondering if any of the accepted students were from the Bay Area? :)>
@NoFutureXD I am from the bay area! but i haven’t been accepted yet… I got an email about a week ago saying they were reviewing my application. (same boat as @StillThinking42 ). How long after that email did they inform you that you were accepted?
Does anyone know if they evaluate applications for Practicum and Internship separately or together? I got accepted to Practicum but haven’t heard anything about Internship yet.
If we attend Practicum can we still submit to science fairs? Is one more prestigious than the other?
Hi, I am from the Bay Area (applying for chemistry first choice, biomedical engineering second), but I have not heard back from them yet. I have, however, received an email on March 24 saying that my application was in the process of evaluation. Does anybody know if people are notified within a time window or if they are notified once they get paired up with mentors?
BU RISE is my top choice, so I’m hoping to get in.
@Cornbread1999 yeah i got an email saying they are reviewing my app on March 24 and still haven’t been updated. It says it won’t take more than 6 wks to give a response…
