well maybe there is a correlation guys hmm
I come back to 40 notifications… can you guys relax lmao. You are not going to be able to decipher if you got in or not and even if you do it’s pointless to psyche yourself out over the next two weeks. If you don’t see an update tomorrow don’t expect anything until mid-april LIKE THEY SAY. Anything sooner is a surprise to be grateful for. damn
your speculation isn’t constructive at all and is only stressing each other out lol
Here is what I have under “Application Status”

Here is what I have under “Financial Assistance Status”:
“Your application is complete. A decision is pending. You will be notified by mail as soon as a decision is made.”
I am not a guaranteed transfer however I was waitlisted last year.
@topcheddercheese mind sharing stats?
I don’t have much to provide but I have a 4.0 (college GPA), with 34 credits going to be completed by the end of this semester, but I will have around 55 credits due to AP and other college courses. On the SAT I got 1500 (new). I am OOS from California and I currently attend UC-Santa Barbara.
@topcheddercheese damn no wonder, nice. Congrats you probably got in.
Just poked around the ED and RD threads researching the financial aid message. Doesn’t look good for me.
I wouldn’t say that. I was waitlisted (then “rejected”) last year with similar stats. It’s a toss up and I would be surprised if any of us don’t get in as we are all motivated enough to be on this thread. Either way, just trust the process.
@TransferFall2018 I wouldn’t say not getting fin aid change means u got rejected. Some people get accepted with 0 portal changes.
I honestly don’t think the 2P or 3P thing has anything to do with your acceptance. If anything, it just means that they’ve looked at your application and possibly have come to a decision. If you look at the RD thread, they had this theory that those who were accepted had a “thank you for applying” but alot of applicants who got that message were actually rejected/waitlisted. Having said that, don’t worry about the number of paragraphs! I have 2P on my portal but I know I was rejected because they asked for a document then said they didn’t need it anymore so they clearly didn’t even want to review it. Nonetheless, good luck everybody!
@r3j3ct3d1 Did you ask your brother about his fin aid message?
@Bostontransfer18 hes asleep. @Bloomvelvet Where do you see the “thank you for applying.” Also what document did they ask you for was it through email or portal.
I see a lot of people still speculating on the 3 paragraphs vs 2 paragraphs. I applied last year as a transfer and wanted to share my insight.
Everyone in the Fall '17 transfer thread had their portal change from 3 paragraphs to 2 paragraphs before their decisions came out. There’s definitely a correlation and it’s definitely more than just speculation. First wave was the end of the first week of April. Considering some of you guys see 2p, I believe this year will be the same.
However, a change from 3 paragraphs to 2 paragraphs doesn’t indicate acceptance or rejection. Just a decision. Some people will also be asked for their Mid-Term report if BU feels they want to see more. I got rejected last year in late May.I definitely think if you’re getting a decision in the first wave, you have a good chance of getting in.
Also, everyone let’s remain calm! We’re all anxious and want to get our decision but it’s out of our control. It’s just not healthy to stress so hard. Good luck!
How about the financial aid messages?
@TheBrady6 I also agree with you. Last night, I was also reading some posts from the Fall '17 transfer thread.
Many of people were saying that their portal were changed from 3p to 2p.
But, it didn’t necessarily mean that people who had 2p on their portal were all accepted in BU.
However, I also think that people who have 2p already on their portal would be getting a decision in the first wave, giving higher chances than the others who don’t have it on the portal.
@TheBrady6 What were your stats last year when you first applied if you don’t mind me asking?
Also, has BU been sending any emails out about anything? They had my wrong email on file and I got it changed but I haven’t received any emails.
