I sent in both my ACT and SAT scores to the UCs and I realized after that it’s not really beneficial to do so…my SAT was a lot higher than my ACT, so the ACT will only show a lower score. Do you think this is going to greatly affect my chances of getting accepted (I applied for a competitive major)
UC’s will take the highest overall score from a single sitting, so they will consider your SAT and not the ACT. You are fine.
I actually managed to stop my ACT from being sent after ordering it, and took it off my application; but even so thanks so much for the reply! Even if my initial concerns are resolved, your comment makes me feel better!
