hey, im a junior right now, just wondering if its worth retaking the sats in may. Got a 2270 the first time (780 CR 760 M 730 W) after taking a few practice tests. Is it worth retaking to help my chances at places like columbia, upenn, washu?

I have the same issue, 2260, for places like Rice, GaTech, UMich, MIT (reach), Caltech, Stanford...

I don't think you should. At this point, more practice tests aren't really going to make that big of an impact on your score. Plus, your scores are still more than adequate. If you're really that worried, I'd suggest checking the stats of your prospective scores (median SAT, etc.) and then decide if you REALLY want to retake it.

do no waste your time I suggest the ACT or the SAT II's. if you do not want to take the ACT it is fine.

take it if it's gonna be your third time or less. Even though it's nice to say it wont matter much, I've found out it does have some sway. A 2350 is a nicer number.

Eh...you're pretty balanced actually. I have 100 point range (same score as you) so I think I will re-take.

I'd give it another shot, just to see if you can bump it over 2300.

yea, it was my first time so i'll prolly take it again. Thanks for the input
