<p>I think the 11th! Tomorrow will be day 3 of committee, which means that they are going through, page by page, each application that stood out to them in their first reads. I’d say we will have a decision before friday! but thats just a guess from an anxious prospect

<p>Agh! @mrscumberbatch I understand! I dont know how many days they spend in committee…I assumed it wouldnt take long considering they have probably already trimmed down the group (fingers crossed)! </p>
<p>how heavily do you guys think bowdoin weighs the essays? i spent a LOT of time on the bowdoin one and i really thought i made it unique…but will they even read it???</p>
<p>/because of the number of applications will they have time to read each essay?? lol seems like waaaay too much work</p>
<p>Considering there are 662 applicants and 12 admissions reps, I’m sure essays are deciding factors for a lot of individuals. So, if you put the effort in, it can only help!!

<p>I applied ED also. The wait is crazy stressful! I believe the essays are definitely important and I am sure they read them! Really hoping decisions are announced this week . My guess is we will all know by Friday the 12th Good Luck!</p>
<p>Did you all submit quarter one grades? My college counselor did not submit mine sine they were listed as optional, but I am now seeing on the Bowdoin Admissions Facebook page that they were asking for them to be sent in. Do you think they will count not having sent first quarter grades in against applicants? </p>
<p>I would definitely send in your first quarter grades especially if they were good! Your guidance counselor should be able to fax them.</p>

<p>@ssm2015 I’m applying Ed to bowdoin and I had my high school counselor email my bowdoin admissions counselor today with my first quarter grades and my bowdoin counselor said she would add them to my file so I don’t think it’s too late (but who knows!) Good luck to everyone </p>

<p>If I am deferred or rejected I will be applying to Carleton, Middlebury, Haverford, Williams, Amherst, Pomona, Swarthmore and some safeties - these amazing schools are all so hard to get into!</p>
