<p>For anyone who comes across this in the future or cares at all - </p>
<p>I did end up applying ED to Bowdoin and I will hear in a few days. If I am deferred, I will likely apply ED2 to Carleton or Middlebury.</p>
<p>Hamilton College is similar to Bowdoin. My daughter is at Hamilton and thriving.</p>
<p>If I am deferred or rejected to Bowdoin I will be applying to Colgate, Colby, Wake Forest, Dickinson, Franklin and Marshall and UVM. </p>
<p>Is Dickinson a well regarded school? Every ranking/reputation I hear is different.</p>
<p>@mrscumberbatch do you know where Bowdoin will release the release date (email, Facebook, website)?</p>
<p>@imsostressed101 I guess it’s who you ask. IN my opinion I would consider Dickinson and F&M comparable as far as rank, selectivity etc…I visited and they seem to have a good science program, what really stood out to me was how much everyone seemed to love the school ! It’s not my first choice obviously! </p>

<p>Since they didnt give us a date yesterday (Monday), the earliest i think they will release is Thursday! Here’s to hoping they give us a date later today!!

<p>Last year, ED decisions were released after 7 pm on Thursday, Dec. 12. The fact that they would be released on that date was released on Tuesday, Dec. 10. I just went back on the admissions FB page and checked the dates and times so not just working on memory. If past is prologue, start keeping an eye on the admissions FB page today (Dec. 9). </p>
<p>I am glad the decisions come out in the evening so we are not all consumed throughout the day waiting and looking. I would prefer to find out at home and not in school!</p>

<p>Where they will announce when the decisions will be out is either on the Bowdoin College admissions Facebook page and or the Bowdoin Orient. I believe the decisions will be emailed.</p>
