boys:girls

i saw on USNEWS that the boys:girls is like, 70:30.... hopefully thats not true...

anyway the point is, is it really noticable?

CMU overall is about a 60:40 ratio, but in certain schools there are a lot less females. The School of Computer Science's freshman class is 25% female, but the sophomore class is 35% female. It varies year to year, as you can see. I notice the ratio, but I'm a girl... The first week of school, I would randomly have 5 guys talking to me, and they'd all know my name, but I didn't know them. However, outside of CS-y classes (other than my physics recitation with 3 girls), it's much more normal. Ask a guy for his opinion. I'm not having any problems with the situation. :)

There's always Pitt down the road or Duquesne.

...and the CFA. Don't forget us. :P
