Breakfast on test morning?

What do you guys eat on test morning to keep up your energy?

I was thinking of whole grain cereal, oatmeal, and a protein shake.

What snacks should I bring that will give me energy but won't give me a rush or big drop?

Immodium. ;)

Breakfast :

3 Eggs, Scrambled
2 Pieces of Whole Wheat toast with Almond Butter
1 Bowl of Go Lean CRUNCH! Cereal with Skim Milk
1 Apple
1 Mandarin Orange
1 Banana

Snacks Before/During Test :

2 Luna Bars
Banana
Chocolate-covered Almonds
Trail Mix

mmmm, wish I could eat like this every day!

I had Corn Flakes and some OJ for breakfast. No snacks for me during the test.

I can't even remember what I ate before, just a normal breakfast. Probably toast or something. During the test, I ate one Luna bar, and one cereal bar type thing. I wasn't really that hungry, but it settled my nerves to munch on something :)

I've never brought snacks to the test before, b/c I thought they'd distract me, and I hate getting stuff between my teeth!

IHOP? (10 char)

lol IHOP? I'd have to wake up way too early!

I'd recommend the same as you normally eat for breakfast on days with "big" mornings ... if you try something new you may not respond well to the change.

I don't eat anything on test day; and don't have snacks. (But I plan to change that this time).

Breakfast-A banana, soy milk, bread...
Snacks/Drinks-none

do snacks make any difference? I mean, has anyone seen a significant increase in scores with snacks as opposed to taking it without them?

snacks just make some people feel good :D

I eat oatmeal and OJ for breakfast. Then for snacks I bring a 20 oz bottle of water and 2 granola bars.

I feel insecure without food in my pocket :D

my dad made me a jam and pork remains sandwich. <3 my dad. he owns.

WashDad Jr ate the breakfast burrito combo from McDonald's. No salsa, though

lol

I'm bringing a banana on test day!

I'm bringing a bunch of Junk food to the test centre.

this breakfast/snack plan is impeccable. It has worked for me, and for many people who i've recommended it to.

Breakfast:
2 slices of grain toast, a double egg omelette, and a glass of warm milk with ovaltine or chocolate syrup (cold milk upsets your stomach), NO ORANGE JUICE. This may seem outlandish to many people, but orange juice does build up a great deal of acidity in your stomach, causing your stomach to make weird noises after some time, and causing you to be all gasey during the test.

for the test, bring 2 bananas, a granola bar, 2 bottles of water, and 3 TUMS tablets (in case you get a little nervous; it can ease tension in your stomach and it supplies you with a good amount of calcium).

A last tip...if you tend to eat a lot and become hungry fairly quickly after eating regular meals DO NOT, and i repeat DO NOT bring chewing gum to the test. Sure, theres a rumor that it helps your concentration but by chewing gum, you are tricking your stomach enzymes into thinking that you're going to swallow food. This will cause you to become hungry faster.

Hope this helps.
