So I have recently started a new school year, and I smuggled my dog (a 5 pound micro-mini maltese) in with me. I have managed to give my pup all her walks and take care of her so far, because she fits in my bag easily. The problem is my roommate now hates her because she peed all over her bed the first night after getting overly excited (she gets very excited meeting new people). There have been no more pee incidents since then though. I would like for them to get along but I don't know if it is possible at this point. Should I bring in a third party to mediate the situation? Or try to get them to sit down and talk things out? How can I make this work out moving forward? Any tips or ideas appreciated.

My god you’re one of those women who can’t live without their pets. I bet you even dress it up and put makeup on it. If I was your roommate I would request a roommate change ASAP

tl;dr hoe thinks she can “mediate” w/ her roomate even though the dog peed in her bed

I’d hate to have you as a roommate.

Yeah, I’d be out of there already if I were stuck with you. Maybe bring in your RA so they can knock some sense into you and make you realize that there are reasons why college students aren’t supposed to bring dogs into their dorms.

I am going to assume you are a ■■■■■. After all, you suggested your roommate and your dog should sit down and talk things out.

I’m also going to be crazy and go out on a limb here and suggest that this is not legit. :B
