I know most freshman dorms don't allow pets, but for all you pet lovers out there, did you bring your animal with you to college or grad school? Did you find the balance difficult?

I wish I could have brought my dog with me to school =[

He’s back home staying warm and cozy. I go to school in-state and I usually go home every two weeks or so, so I get to see him. He gets so excited when I come back home – I love it!

No, and generally it’s not fair to keep them in a dorm. It’s just too small of a space for animals (cats and dogs). Even if I could have, I wouldn’t have because it’s not fair to my doggie.

Yeah, I meant apartments, townhouses, etc.

I brought my dog when I was a sophomore. I got another one, and had them in my junior year and now I’m a senior. I do have a bf and he helps me care for them. It would be hard to have such odd schedules (like I did this semester) and not have his help.

Had them in an apartment 2 years, this year we are renting a house so a little bigger for them. I take them on lots of walks, and let one go swimming (when its not freezing). Its worked out well so far and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Lots of hamsters and fish, most people don’t have their own pets bigger than that

I had a dream that I brought my pet lizard to school. Somehow, the change of location tamed him and inspired him to learn amazing tricks. One of the best dreams I’ve had in a while…
