what are we looking at like a week

Transfer news and some stats:

[...]

The Office is anticipating the enrollment of slightly more than 100 transfer applicants...

wow great! thanks for the news, ylp

wow, thanks for sharing the exciting info. It's good to hear that the # of applicants went down this year (more chance for me :) ). Although i highly doubt that i'll be accepted either way :(. haha...

oh wow, a 10.5% admit rate seems so much more encouraging than a 7.1% admit rate. weird how warped my perception has become in this transfer process, but i actually feel that knowing an extra 3.4% of the applicants will be accepted makes it all seem a little bit less "scary."

it will be more than 10.5 because of yield

I keep feeling like they're going to let three people in...
clearly this is not the case. It's going to be really interesting to see who gets into Ivies as a transfer. Not amazing, just rather interesting.

I'm no stellar applicant, that's for sure. I'm one of those "hopefully they will see my potential... I swear I'm really intelligent!"

... I should probably be studying for finals :-

that news is very very promising

What kind of yield does Brown aim for? Because I would love for them to expect a ridiculously low percentage of enrollments. It would be WONDERFUL.

I just have to keep thinking of this as good news for everyone but me....

what exactly does mid may mean though

If they follow the Cornell model, it means June 8. Ha!

Yeah, as someone else mentioned, if the matriculation rate is 10.5%, then the acceptance rate will grater than that.

Really hopeful news.

first people found out may 17th last year

may 17th was the third thursday of may last year so i'm guessing we will find out on may 15th, the third thursday of may this year.

so late...

I just checked the website and instead of the usual "Admissions decisions are not currently available" it now has something you can click on and now it says Dear ________________, transfer decisions are not currently available online. Please refer to the admissions website for mailing details.

Does this mean they were sent out!??!?!? I am dying, does anyone else have this message?

Hahaha, I can't stop laughing. I don't know why I find it funny that I click a button which is labeled by:

Decision: [Click Here]

And then there is no decision, but rather, a note that tells you that the details about the decision are on the "Undergraduate Admission" website. Ha. And then you click the link, and you just get sent back to the main page for admissions. I think I need a nap.

AGH! I just found the same thing! My heartbeat quickened when I saw that... and then I saw the lame "letter" that informed us of absolutely nothing.

Thanks, Brown.

Did anyone else apply for spring vs. fall because the admissions website said they typically have more transfer spaces open in the spring?

I still have the "Admission decisions are currently not available." text.
