i am waiting on some other schools

BK, I'm also waiting on other schools. Yale is great, but New Haven isn't... I'll probably visit campus tomorrow, and then decide.

Accepted! I am still waiting on other schools, but I am probably goinggg!!! I LOVE Brown

so you all just called in

What Is The Online Site???

wait i am so confused, did the people who received their decisions already, did they call in, received a paper letter in the mail, or find out online???

omg ACCEPTED!!

totally unexpected!!

^southerncali

Just call them. I believe they sent out all the decisions through mail yesterday so you probably won't receive them for couple more days.

i can wait for the paper decision. i really don't want to be rejected over the phone...plus brown is my top choice :(

wow. accepted.

I'm just in shock.

Spring semester, though, which is sorta inconvenient. Anyone else in this predicament?

yeah, if i choose brown, i'm thinking about taking a semester off, or maybe just going up to providence and basically just chillin and making friends

why dont u go to your current institution for another semeser?

i might, but i don't really want to, it would be difficult to get into being there knowing i'd only be there 10 weeks, and i think i'll have a solid number of credits transfer, so i might work on a presidential campaign or something, i don't know, i'm just kind of brainstorming, i'm still shocked i got in

i'm really stressing. i don't care which private school i get into at this point, i just want to get into one. i like all of them for different reasons and i am super interested in the majors i picked...i also hope that picking an "odd" major at brown, might help me...i really don't even care if i get in for spring term! i just wanna go!

i totally forgot that there was a spring term option... when i called in they didnt mention anything about that to me, so i'm hoping im in for fall... if not, that changes EVERYTHING. what would i do for half a year?!

also, for those of you who were accepted, did you apply for financial aid? i feel like that could have been the determining factor.

rejected. oh well

yah i applied for financial aid

Has anyone received the actual letter? I keep on telling myself I'm not going to call, and if there's a big difference in the way they send the packages (FedEx vs snail mail maybe?) I might as well just assume the worst.

I haven't received my letter yet, and I live ~40 minutes from Providence.

Are there any occurrences of an applicant getting off the transfer wait-list? I asked the admissions officer when I got my decision over the phone, but I didn't get a concrete reply. Anybody know? I'm thinking it's extremely unlikely…
