Brown 2015 Hopefuls

the ED deadline is getting closer and closer. Start your common application and brown supplement as soon as possible. :)

I don’t live in Toronto, though I used to, but I still live in the GTA! (:
Us international applicants have it hard, since schools don’t really offer help for SAT prep or the admissions process. I guess we’ll just have to get through this ourselves, with support from friends of course :)

Just think guys: in about 9-10 months, we will have found out if we made it in or not!

^ I know, right? Totally disadvantaged. My guidance counselor actually doesn’t know s*** about US universities. So I’m pretty much screwed; once school starts, I’ll have to go bug her everyday so that she gets things done in time. I don’t want to see my future get screwed up because of the inability of my high school guidance.

lol I am so worried about deadlines and I don’t want to miss a single one. I’m thinking of buying a gigantic calendar, just so i can write stuff like “Harvard ED app due” and “Get teachers’ recs today”. Phew. This admissions process isn’t easy, especially for us international applicants! Our schools don’t help much at all, unfortunately.

quick question: can I submit the same essay to multiple schools? Is that bad?

I already have that calendar :stuck_out_tongue: (yes I’m totally OCD) and I love it. Everything’s marked - even the due dates I assigned to each essays (like, “Start Brown essays” and “Finish Stanford essay #3” and “Work on Amherst essay”).

Ooh, applying to Harvard ED?

And… are there actually overlapping topics for which you can just submit the same essay? Hmm.

It’s funny because Harvard doesn’t have ED

I’m applying RD.

Brown RD from Vietnam this year

I’m definitely applying ED from Florida!
Brown’s been my dream school since like…8th grade. I better get in, hahaha.

RD to Brown and PLME. It’s one of my top choices

ED to Brown from Miami!

Prospective English major from small-town New York applying ED to Brown. Working on applications now! Here’s hoping all goes well for all of you
EDIT: I take that back, I want to get in. I hope you’re all lesser than I am…but we can still be friends.

So, I posted earlier that I would be applying RD, but then I visited Brown. =P Now I’m definitely ED (Actually hopefully Questbridge) and I am so pumped. I am honestly terrified of not getting in, even though I know my likelihood is less than 1/10! =/

does ED give you an advantage?
aso which is better—going through questbridge or just EDing the regular way?

Another Brown hopeful from the northeast here! It really is my dream school, but I think my chances of getting in are slimmer than desired.

I have already submitted my application for ED.

Questbridge applicants, even if deferred – really get the notice of the admissions office. Go through that if at all possible.

me too.from pa. i love brown

when is everyone applying ED sending in their applications? And whats your progress on essays?

no applying ED doesnt advantage you in any way, unless you have some hook, legacy etc…otherwise you’re better off applying regular…
^ ive already sent my app…did it yesterday…had essays written during vacations…
