@dancingwriter Mumford & Sons just breaks your heart and repairs it again after every song. There’s just no better way to explain it. Have you heard The Lumineers? They have this folk vibe you seem to like. So do Of Monsters and Men. Ooh and hear pistachio by Lisa Hannigan, two weeks by Grizzly Bear and can’t go back now by the weepies. Sorry, I get excited giving people music…

And yes Matty <3 But yeah they have an alternative pop vibe which I guess isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. And yes! One direction has surprised me too…I think that’s the first time I’ve admitted that. Damn

Do you guys have any plans for how you are going to check your admissions decisions ie. going to a special place, doing it with certain people, etc.

@Mufasa14
Yes! When it was the 12th, I had it planned out so that I would still be at school (with A+ access to wifi) with one of my very best friends and we’d just hang out in our library and watch funny youtube videos or something until 5. Haha it seems silly, but it made me feel better to know exactly what I’d be doing.

@Mahnoor Yup! Folk rock is one of my loves. And yes, I’ve listened to the Lumineers. They’re awesome too. Haha. I’ll take a look at the songs you mentioned!

Family filming my reaction sounds god-awful, as would anyone around me even knowing… I didn’t tell anyone close to me the day the decision comes out. If I’m so blessed as to be offered admission, I’ll tell everyone. If not, everyone should assume I didn’t get it because I said “if I say nothing in December, don’t ask.”

For real, I didn’t even tell my parents. I just told everyone the results come out ‘sometime in December’ and left it at that. I really, really don’t want to make a huge deal about it only to end up getting rejected.

I’m going to open the decision letter in my room, with a plate of fresh baked Hershey’s chocolate chunk cookies. If I get in, the first person I’m going to call is my art teacher. :D

Do you know if the decision will definitely be preceded by an email giving the decision date? If so, how do you know? Was it written anywhere on Brown’s site/the admissions portal, or is that just how it’s been done before? Is it always 5 days?
