Brown Class of 2018 Early Decision Applicants

@dancingwriter Yayy The lumineers are one of my fav bands.

I don’t know what I’m going to be doing because I don’t know the date :confounded: If its anytime after the 16th I’ll be traveling. ***

Ugh, I hate that decisions will come out right during finals week. I won’t be able to really celebrate or anything.

Check the [posted calendar](<a href=“Undergraduate Admission | Brown University”>Undergraduate Admission | Brown University)! :)

NO WAY! I’m so anxious ahhh 3 days!!!

Is it really happening is this true

God I’m so nervous! does letter mail date mean they will post it online that day?

So it…really is the 12th? Three days? Is this the real life?

Does anyone know if they’ll send an email with our admissions decision in it? Like an email if we get accepted/referred/rejected?

Also, I applied for Astronomy and Gender/Sexuality Studies….
I’m so nervous! I think I mentioned this a while ago, but our Christmas concert is on the 12th, meaning I have to wait until about 9 PM to check my admissions status. :^( I would check it on my phone, but I don’t want to go through the rest of the concert with the knowledge that I’m rejected….

hey guys, what happened to kiwi? I was annoyed by her, but havent checked this forum in a while so idk why she got booted.

They won’t send an email with the decision. They might send an email saying “your decision is available” but if it is true that the 12th is the day I wouldn’t count on an announcement email seeing as we didn’t get the 5 day email! This is all a mess, truly. We aren’t even sure if the 12th is the day and that could lead to disappointment!

Basically kiwi was a ■■■■■ and said multiple times she was accepted and then in one post even said she was the daughter of the Dean of Admissions (which I can assure 10000% is false) or something insane… So she was booted. A non event really.

I’m hoping we get confirmation on the 12th? Considering calling…

stops breathing three days?! So it IS the 12th…haha it’s funny 'cause I thought I’d be so relieved to know the date, but I think knowing it just makes it worse lol.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE and I mean it! :)

(1) If you scroll down past the calendar to “News and Announcements,” you’ll see the following:

Good luck everyone!!!

Hey, I just got an email from Brown!

Brown just sent an email to confirm what dodgersmom said above!

" Dear ____________

Your admission decision will be available online December 12th, beginning at 5:00 PM EST.

If you have not yet logged into your Brown Self-Service Account we would recommend doing so as soon as you can. If you have any trouble connecting, please contact our Computing Accounts & Passwords Office at (401) 863-4357, option 1. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. Please note that they can only speak with the applicant. Thank you!"

Just received the email! 12th dec
5PM EST

Why do they need us to check our self-service account? I don’t note anything different in mine. Does anyone?

^I think just to get you to make sure you can access it beforehand, so they don’t get flooded with calls/emails about it the day of.

I’d guess they are foolishly thinking there might be applicants who have not been checking their online accounts every five minutes of every waking hour since early last week . . . :D

And they just want to make sure those applicants are actually able to access their accounts and don’t encounter last minute problems logging in.

what are some of your SAT/ACT scores? because I am on the lower half of 25%-50% range. I know I’m getting deferred. I just want to know where everyone stands.

omgomgomgomgomgogomgogkgkgmgjsbskrbwpbdorbrkkw FREAKING OUT! I DON’T BELIEVE IT! THE 12TH! YAYYYYYYYYYYYY and then again… nooooooooo
