At this point, I just wish I knew so I would feel more motivated to work on other apps/not waste time working on other apps.

^ I’m with you on that. I have my list of schools lined up but I just can’t find it within me to write more essays. My mind keeps coming back to brown

@DiscipulusBonus Same here At the same time, its nice to apply to a bunch of other great schools! I just want to avoid going to my safeties.

I’m totally with all of you on that! It’s that small glimmer of hope within me that says, “But what if you get into Brown. You don’t need to apply to other colleges then.” LOL granted it’s a very small glimmer of hope, it’s still there though. Ah I’m so anxious!

@insomniacc15 @Anduar3

Go spend some time on the “What are my chances?” forum, and you’ll find some people that can help remove those pesky “glimmers of hope.” ;)

Hahaha, I almost didn’t apply because of those “chance me” people. It’s nice to imagine that most of those stats are exaggerated or else a small percentage of the applicant pool… :-/

@DiscipulusBonus That is so true!

@Tman1005 @Erminelove87 It’s not really that soon is it? 15th is in more than 2 weeks… are decisions earlier this year?

@Audrae Last year decisions were released on December 12th. This year they’ll probably be released sometime between the 12th and the 15th. We’ll find out the decision date at the beginning of December.

@DisciplusBonus LOL True! I try not to go on there as much as possible because of all the accomplished people on it. I’m not sure why they ask for people to chance them if they’re going to say 2400 SAT, 36 ACT, 800 on ten different subject tests, saved a nation, found the cure to cancer, #1 in my class, so do you think I can get into Stanford? Hahaha

It could be some admission officers creating fake profiles just to freak us out ^^

Last year they tweeted on December 9th around 5:00pm to start checking your decision at 5:00pm December 12th!!

The following article in NY Times today may make you feel a little more at ease, but still unknowing.

<a href=“For Accomplished Students, Reaching a Good College Isn’t as Hard as It Seems - The New York Times”>For Accomplished Students, Reaching a Good College Isn’t as Hard as It Seems - The New York Times;

how many other apps have you guys completed :-S haha…

I sent in my early decision application on October 30th and then got confirmation that my application was submitted and paid for. I also received an email from an alumna for an interview, so my email address seems to be correct. However, I have not received my login information to see my decision. Is this unusual that I haven’t received this yet or do they not send them until they have made a decision?

I’ve “completed” most of my regular apps, but I need to revise my essays.

@abarber15 So are you saying you haven’t received your Brown portal login yet? Because if that’s the case, you should definitely get that checked out! I’m pretty sure everyone is supposed to have those by now.

@abarber15 You should send an email to admission office (admission@brown.edu)!!

I have accidentally wrote “major” instead of “concentration” in one of my essays. Will this have a negative effect on me?

On that dreadful day, I know we will somehow somewhere get a letter but will the notification of the decision be bluntly in the box next to “decision” or will there be something to click on? This is important, I’m making my mom do it for me.
