Good luck! :)>-
If you encounter the situation that the Financial Aid Office of Brown University requested some personal documentation to prove some unique case, see what happened to Avianca last year ā http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/profile/comments/100577847/Avianca
Previously I stated that you will get your financial aid package together with your decision, I am actually not sure because we only checked our financial aid package the day after decision day last year. I apologize for the confusion.
I only have my FAFSA and CSS profile up, so Iām pretty sure that Brown rejected me. All the other schools Iāve been accepted to have emailed me about Financial Aid requirements prior to decisions being released. At this point Iām just gonna check to see if I was waitlisted or rejected. I donāt want everyone to lose hope, but thatās about where I am right now.
I will be going to Grinnell or Lewis and Clark if I donāt get into Brown. Either way, Iām happy.
Iāll be going to WashU or Georgia Tech, either of which Iām happy about so Iām not super nervous, although I just want to know!
@beezkneez1 hasnāt that theory been disproven by likely letter admits and ED round? Fin aid and admissions are not correlated. Iāve gotten request for additional things to schools I were rejected from but some schools that admitted me didnāt ask for more info until after I was admitted. Trust me if you could tell whether u got in just by fin aid stuff brown woulda changed things a long time ago
JHU, Michigan, Brandeis, Macaulay Honors, and Wesleyan are my Plan B options, and theyāre all amazing but I would love to get into an ivy
did anyoneās upload doc thing disappear?
@Lemonade22 Mine is still there. Did it disappear for you?
@IlluminatiIsReal No, i read last year that peopleās disappeared that day and that was indicative of accept or reject
my backup is now Vandy as of yesterday, which also disproved the fa theory (at least for vandy) as they didnāt take any of my IDOC documents or ask for anything other than fafsa and css profile. still gave me an aid package too.
Northeastern and Brown researchers and professors worked together to develop the CS curriculum at both schools and still work closely to this day, so youāll find very similar experiences in CS at both. Matthias Felleisen and Shriram Krishnamurthi are the main leads for the research/program design for Northeastern and Brown respectively. The teaching approach is very different from most CS programs and is viewed very favorably by all I know that have gone through it at Northeastern, Brown, and Waterloo.
