@Lemonade22 Does it disappearing mean a rejection or an acceptance? Mine is still there
Daughter only has CSS and FAFSA on portal, so we already know it’s a reject. Brown was her fav, but Thank God she has a couple of other offers.
@writermom2018 that rumor is false
I honestly don’t know anything about the IDOC thing you guys are talking about. We didn’t check any portal until two hours after decision time last year. But if you are poor enough that FA office can decide you are full-ride or you are rich enough that FA can decide you won’t get anything, obviously no additional documentation is needed to calculate the number in your FA package. 11.18% of matriculated class of 2021 students are full ride. I guess those 32% who received partial aids need additional documentation.
43 percent of the class will receive need-based scholarship or grant aid
54 percent of those students receiving financial aid have no loans in their financial aid awards
26 percent have no expected parental contribution from income
@JigglyPuffs123 : Could you share the schools you have been able to get into so far using your USACO Platinum?
Doubtful. It’s pretty logical that Brown would only pay for the IDOC docs of finaid students they’ve admitted. Probably less than 800 in the RD cycle. You think a small Ivy is going to pay College Board for 30,000 IDOC docs? Senseless.
Kudos to those of you who responded to the rude, snarky comments on this thread respectfully and appropriately. You have much more maturity and class than the author of those comments. It’s pretty sad that there are some people who are so addicted to drama, they will create it wherever they go. Sad, also, that some people have nothing better to do than to sit around and post purposely incendiary comments in order to push other people’s buttons and incite them to respond angrily, thereby getting the thread shut down by moderators. Let’s all continue to model good behavior so that those who were not taught proper social media etiquette can learn better communication skills.
The first paragraph of my portal says “Thank you for applying to Brown!”
Gave me the chills lol
@greenfrogmemes yeah me too !
Anyone still have the option to upload material?..I do. Anyone know what this could mean
I do. :((
Financial aid students who applied and were rejected from Brown last year all only had CSS Profile and FAFSA hanging in their financial aid portal. It means you were rejected. It’s obvious.
Then I’m rejected
@Humblepie2022 Yes, approx 96% of RDs at Brown are.
That has nothing to do with anything. I’ve had a ton of docs in my financial aid since mid November, and I was deferred. Again, different students need different FA documents.
That is BS from @writermom2018
Exactly @bsmd1826
That makes sense since I was deferred ED. RIP
Honestly just leave. Kids here are stressed out enough. If you are a parent, then just be supportive. We have less than 6 hours left @writermom2018
We really won’t know until 7. I hope everyone here gets in!
My ED deferral letter has just reappeared on the portal. Anyone else have this?
