Brown Class of 2022 Applicants Discussion

It’s likely that people who get likely letters don’t spend time on forums worrying about getting likely letters, that’s why they’re the kind of people who get them

@quinntheeskimo
However, this is not a “Likely Letter” forum so it’s not limited by those focused solely on LLs. The scope here is larger and thus so it’s the audience.

It’s a forum to engage in Brown Class of 2022 related topics thus I expect more LLs news to come.

Hi guys! I applied RD to Brown and finished my alumni interview yesterday. Will the report go in time for the review??

@mmstanfordbound I’m sure it will - the alumni should be in some sort of communication with Brown and therefore, it would be nonsensical for them to give you an interview but not add that information to your file.

Thanks for the reassurance @musicmeister22

@linhcinders There’s a QB Finalist gc?! I need to get in on that lol. 2 of my best friends got matched (to Rice and Northwestern) and all they do around me is talk about how lit their college gc’s are and it’s depressing af. I’m pretty sure they think they’re better/smarter than me which is probably why I obsess over my RD CC forums and getting into a better school than them. (Sorry for airing my whole life story on here guys lmao)

@The1975xx Yes! There is one on Facebook that the QB admins run and there’s one for people that didn’t get matched (like me lol)

Was there a specific time published for RD notification?

@shan0018 dunno but it should be 5PM.

Its usually 5pm local time for each university, just before the closure of Admissions Office, mostly to prevent an excessive overload of phone calls from anxious parents and applicants. @shan0018

Princeton is releasing the decisions at 7pm ET on 28th March. If Ivy league unis have to release at the exact same time in addition to the same date then Brown must also release at 7pm.

@IlluminatiIsReal I thought they only release it the same day and it doesn’t necessarily have to the at the same time?

@IlluminatiIsReal They only release it on the same day, but the time window is generally 5-7PM for each Ivy. Brown has historically released at 5PM.

@dogsarelife @greenfrogmemes Actually Princeton also used to release at 5PM historically but is changing this year for some reason. But I guess that wouldn’t change Brown’s decision - I hope its at 5PM because 7pm ET would mean 1am where I live.

Hey guys, will the admission committee continue reviewing applications up until decision release date? When will they stop considering our application or new updates?

Till they get bored bored  Since a few interviews recently occurred, I guess they are still reviewing them, but I can only reasonably estimate that they’ll stop around a week or so before the decision release date.

Maybe thats why they waitlist people? Dunno @brbound

Is it too late to add a per recommendation?

*peer

Ivy League schools agree to release on the same day, not the same time, so the times vill vary by college.

@Humblepie2022 Brown doesn’t require or recommend a peer recommendation. Did you mean to post this on the Dartmouth thread? Either way, yes I would say it is too late.
