@chunkylegs I have it too, also received on 2/7. However, since I have already completed high school, my counselor submitted the entire high school transcript. I also believe that there are no ‘Easter eggs’ concerning college admission. As an unremarkable international student, I only applied to Brown because I sincerely love it and didn’t want to spend the rest of my life regretting.
Hi everyone! I applied to Brown regular decision this year and I just recently saw the application addition of an alumni interview or a 2-minute video. I didn’t find out about this until a few weeks ago, meaning that I didn’t do the thing where you choose one over the other. My question here is that if I didn’t choose one or the other, would I just automatically have to make a video then? Also, would the video component be required even if you didn’t “opt-in” for it?
@churchthecat Yes. Now you’ll have to do the video part. If you despise that so much, then maybe write an email explaining the sitch. You can write an email to the AdCom regarding this, but generally ‘negligence’ on the applicants end is not taken positively, especially when the School tries to convey something.
@xmas19 Maybe…maybe not. Top tier schools such as Brown dont give off admissions status based clues to applicants/anyone related like this especially this far ahead of the decision release date(s).
It’s interesting that this has happened to multiple people. It could just be a categorical mistake on someone’s part, but could also be an “easter egg.” Mine just says Midyear Transcript & Midyear Report, and so does the Common App…
