@PianoWinterfell Yep–definitely not there. He hasn’t received an email from Brown since they acknowledged receipt of his video submission. But he didn’t receive the email from NYU last week that his twin got stating their portals were secure and hadn’t been hacked like other school portals had been, nor another email from a UC school (Can’t remember which one right now) that his twin got–and then he was admitted. It’s just so weird…

THis is a long stretch, but i expected all apps to receive emails of such sorts (nature)?

It means nothing. They are simply informing everyone that the portal will be closed and that decisions will be released March 28th.

From this point on there will be endless speculation as to the validity of “signs” that suggest admission outcomes. Was this or that downloaded, source code readers, astrological signs, etc.
All should be entirely ignored to avoid wasted energy and angst.
These next two weeks are undeniably horrible and anxiety ridden. Please don’t succumb to the temptation to assume anyone can read tea leaves that don’t actually exist.

It seems that supplemental material option is still available. Is is recommended to upload some stuff? I think today they will close window to submit … choice of graded paper and so on… please let me know
Since ive been proven terribly wrong in knowledge of deadline multiple times here,
i’ll say this:
its not required, though if you feel something helps add anything +ve to the app, then you SHOULD HAVE sent it at least before march started. The email from Brown officially sets every decision to stone IMO.
The Graded Paper was highly recommended to be submitted.
Again, idk if you should submit or not, since thats a calculated risk given if they ever review it (since materials submitted this way go straight to the application file), and their thoughts on late submissions.
In the end, its a risk to decide on. No one can stop you, and you should weigh any pros and cons you could think of to take a definite step.
Honestly, I know I’ll be rejected, but I’m so happy that I was deferred/will be rejected. This entire process has helped me grow and learn more about myself. Whatever happens, portal change or email, we’ve grown from the experience. There is no point in freaking about it now.
I agree. This process has helped me get a much clearer picture of what I’m truly interested in and what I want to do in the future. But still – it’s SO stressful

Hey all, have any one of your checklist on the portal disappeared yet? The email states that it will disappear after March 14 Midnight, but it’s March 15 now in Providence and my checklist is still there.
My checklist is still there as well @simon11909. I wouldn’t read too much into it; they’re probably going through everyone slowly
