Daughter is RD. 4.95/5, 1510, great rec’s, great visual arts portfolio, good EC’s, solid leadership. Fluent French / bi-literacy certification. Strong essays, very strong writer. Is Brown possible with a 1510? She’s NMF, for what that’s worth. Thanks.
@PapaMode Yep. Brown’s very well possible with a 1510.
THe avg. SAT is 1480 for browns admitted class as of late.
Depends on what major tho. Some are competitive than others. Brown has a competitive premed/design program.
She purposely steered away from science bc of the known high demand there. Think she was history. Thanks.
@tcrf15 I put East Asian Studies as my first choice Modern Culture and Media as my second!
@prepdancer My D sent a LOCI snail mail letter after being deferred. She received a pretty timely letter acknowledging it but definitely not a likely letter.
@Mayukh3333 What is an LL ?
@Nonomom Likely Letter
Is the Likely Letter Brown sends to potential students? is it a real letter or sent electronically?
How are you guys feeling as we’re coming down to the last 10 days before Ivy Day??
It’s a physical letter.
Note that the vast majority of accepted applicants will not receive a LL.
DOES PLME come out with the brown decisions?
Just as anxious or even more anxious than when I applied ED?. The anxiety never goes away, but overall I’m optimistic to see what the outcome will be! How are you feeling? @PatriotsFan007
Rumor flying around about how a “stretched” checklist could perhaps indicate an acceptance. People are describing a “stretched” checklist as having the sumbission date placed all the way on the right edge of the table with lots of empty space between the item name and the date, when viewed on a desktop computer. Does anyone remember if their checklists were or weren’t like that before they dissapeared?
@intricuit I posted this on the 14th…
"Public Service Announcement
From this point on there will be endless speculation as to the validity of “signs” that suggest admission outcomes. Was this or that downloaded, source code readers, astrological signs, etc.
All should be entirely ignored to avoid wasted energy and angst.
These next two weeks are undeniably horrible and anxiety ridden. Please don’t succumb to the temptation to assume anyone can read tea leaves that don’t actually exist.
Good luck to everyone and I hope your waiting passes painlessly and your outcomes are what you had hoped for."
We did land on the moon, Sasquatch does not exist, the world is round,and the “Stretched” checklist is a rabbit hole.
You understandably want answers, unfortunately they won’t be available for another few days. This speculation happens every year, is disproven once decisions arrive and then recycled the following year.
Good luck.
Where did you hear such thing? @intricuit
@intricuit our checklists disappeared already, so no point in speculating
@PatriotsFan007 I’m feeling kinda tortured. I don’t know if I want to see my decision anymore.
When do decisions come out?
