@neurochic Ivy day March 28th
@neurochic yes plme comes out the same day
Only for Cornell ILR and SHA, among the Ivies, do decisions come out before 3/28 this year on a rolling basis, if at all.
SHA is doing it, ILR is not.
If you are Puerto Rican, then Brown (like most colleges and universities) would consider you a URM applicant.
already know I’m going to get rejected, especially since my SAT score was pretty low but it was worth a try
Unless your SAT is below the 25th percentile, you might have a shot. Who knows?
My GPA is really low, but I decided to take a shot anyways…
I’m freaking out tho
I can literally see all my rejections coming
@PianoWinterfell I feel the same way ): If you wanna vent about it, PM me!
@PianoWinterfell Did you apply to any fallback or safety schools? I assume that if you felt confident enough to apply to Brown, then you could more or less be accepted into one of your state public schools or a mid-range private school.
@NMParent000079 I did applied to a couple safety schools, but I forgot to send in some materials and they withdrew my app :((
I feel like I have a decent chance at Brown but Idk. I’m getting more and more paranoid
If you don’t have any fallback schools, you can try and apply to some that have rolling admission just to be safe ? @PianoWinterfell
anyone notice that in their brown portal if you click on banner self service, you can view the curriculum guide for brown, and in the top right hand corner it says “Hello,(YOUR NAME)” ?? I just noticed it. Also is brown in all of your IDOC list of colleges?
@kerlykerls Brown requests IDOC from only some families for whom they cant pinpoint an aid amount if they get in.
Its on their website, and you can email and ask them.
It means nothing.
Please research before posting here. THese answers are easily found on Browns page.
@TheGuy1 pretty sure brown requests IDOC from everyone but what’s special is the people who have brown on their institution code page so ya i researched it and ik what im talking about
@kerlykerls Brown doesnt request idoc from everyone.
Check this out: https://www.brown.edu/about/administration/financial-aid/idoc-questions-and-answers
And thats the same as/for institution code page.
Hence my logic applies.
Clearly you’ve done excellent research.
Just as an anecdote, I know 2 kids (class of '20, and class of '22) who got in Brown without the IDOC req. as what I said stands.
Brown Requests CSS and FAFSA from everyone.
Ofc intl’s are not counted in any of my talks, since that process is weird and unknown to me.
ok my b forget about the idoc stuff but can anyone else access the course curriculum portal with their name at the top?
@kerlykerls I can
@kerlykerls I can too. It says “Welcome, (name)” but I don’t think it means anything
