Thanks for chancing TheRealBoat; I chanced back :)

bump !

Wow you would have a good shot even if you just did regular decision…I think your almost certain to get in with those types of extracurriculars. A 32 on the ACT also isn’t bad as some other people have said, and you more than make up for the average score with your extracurriculars.

@ ilucky27: Thanks! I’m looking at some peer schools of Brown if I don’t get in ED, and my scores worry me a bit. I mean I doubt I can find time to properly prep for another ACT and subject tests because my ECs are so time-consuming. Should I retake anything next month?

I would say you have a really good chance! Colleges (especially Ivies) love First Generation College Students! Your ACT scores are within the middle 50% range, and you definitely have loads of extracurricular activities. I really hope you get in! My dad went to Brown and he loved it. GOOD LUCK! :D

Chance me back if you get a chance ;)

Thanks gracemarie I REALLY hope I get in too haha, would be amazing. Though I’m not technically first generation since my mom went to Brown lolz. But thanks for your kind words, and I’ll def chance back!

yeah i believe ur in here dude, or at least a great shot :)

You have a great shot. If brown doesn’t accept you I don’t know who they would accept.

Chance me back!

yeah i believe u have a great shot

Chance back athttp://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1023853-help-me-out-pleaseeeeee-ill-chance-back-anyone-who-chances-me.html

WOW, the inventions thing is really cool! I would say you have a great chance, but because you’re also a legacy I’d go so far to say that you’re in! Keep in mind though, I’ve seen insanely brilliant kids (our valedictorian last year) get rejected from Brown because her essay didn’t stand out. DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. Write and interesting essay that has to do with your life, and win them over. Just be you and I’m sure you’ll do fine!

Good luck!

Brown’s admission is so crazy.
They’re like hormonal or something o_O
so although you fit the “ivy” profile, I can’t say that you’re definitely in–but you do have a VERY good chance of being accepted.
you seem like a pretty cool person :p

chance me back please?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1031084-chances-johns-hopkins-uni-ed-please.html

Thanks for the chances and great comments everybody You are all so nice! I’ll keep chancing you back!

Who’s the surgeon you are talking about?

Somebody that’s not associated with Brown…I know that could pose an issue, but he really has inspired me. What do you think about my chances?

I doubt the fact that the surgeon isn’t at Brown matters at all. What matters is writing about what you learnt from him… but what’s his name? I’m just curious as I’m interested in surgery.
It sounds like you have a really good chance!! You sound like one of those typical ivy students - so many science awards, yale book award, and you’re also a clarinet chair AND class president. impressive.

Thanks chesterstreet! I’ll PM it to you (will explain why in the PM). You’re so kind!

you are in.

^Thanks, I just wish it was that easy haha

I’d say your chances are great.

High match/low reach @ Brown for ED.
