The online application does not have a 24 hour grace period. Brown gets so many applications and they need reasons to turn most of them away. Failing to meet a deadline seems like a fair excuse to me.

@lookingaround,

They may not have a 24 grace period, but they will probably let applications that are a few minutes late slide. (less than 5, 3, 2?) The reason is that the time on your computer, may be different than the common apps time-stamp. So relax.

I found out on the 1st that my SAT scores didn’t get sent the first time I tried to order them. i re-ordered them but not until the afternoon of the 1st so I don’t know if they will get there in time.

really? last year for frosh admissions, a friend of mine handed in apps 3-4 days late for some ivies. still got accepted, but i suspect it was because she had amazing stats

Casey, are you sure that’s true? I thought that we were supposed to receive our login info about a week or so after applying. I’m not entirely sure where I heard/read that but I could have almost sworn that is what I was told.

Okay thanks. I remember reading something about it, but last night I could not find it on their website. (Granted I was in the middle of a panic attack ;p)

could you give the url to the page that talks about the login? Thanks again,

"In order to use this online tracking feature, you will need a Brown username and password. We will not assign you a username and password until after you submit the Brown Transfer Supplement. This administrative process takes some time, so it may be a week or more before you receive your username and password.

After you have been assigned a username and password you can use them to log on to the Application Summary web site, which contains tracking information about the forms of your application that have already been submitted. Please note that this login information is different from the username and password that give you access to your forms on the Common Application web site."

I applied on the 1st. While I am not surprised that I am still waiting, it has been two-weeks and I am getting a bit nervous.

Has anyone else who applied on the 1st got their login?

Any other independant transfer students upset that Brown expects both parents to contribute? I received and will receive next year zero dollars combined. But sure, they’ll pay 30000$ dollars next year.
