Brown Fall 2010 Transfer Thread

huh. just looked through the earlier pages of this thread and realized I never had a midterm thing signed by all my professors. they never notified me about any missing materials. I guess maybe they let it go since they know it’s a big university

They don’t require that

any of you guys internationals applying for aid?

Michaelblake–where do you go to school right now??

Not to be obsessive or anything, but you guys can use the USPS site to estimate when a letter will arrive from Brown’s zipcode to yours: [Postage Price Calculator](<a href=“File Not Found”>File Not Found) . Brown’s located in 02912.

2 days for me haha. I checked for envelope and large envelope :)

According to that tool I have to wait for 6-10 days, man like an extra week or 2, ***, why not post it online, what the hell is that.

I’m a inlt applying for aid. I can pay about 20k out of pocket. + another 20k from fed loan + bank loan, but anything else I need in aid.

Yeah, it would have been just as easy to send us emails instead of snail mail. Alas.

I wish their website changed to “All decisions have been mailed” rather than “Decisions will be mailed on May 12th” haha

I want Friday (the day I’m expecting to receive my decision) to be here already, so that I can finally be done with this transfer business. Brown’s the only school I’m still waiting to hear back from.

Hopefully you east coasters will get it tomorrow. I’m excited to hear how you guys did!

do you think people in ny could hear today? prolly not, prolly fri or sat. :(

I didn’t hear today so I’m going to guess not and go with Friday or Saturday as well. I just have my fingers crossed that I’ll get all of my answers by Saturday. That’s my hope anyway

As a West Coaster, I’m not expecting to hear until Monday at best. You guys are lucky!

from outside of Boston- waitlisted!

Just called the office, they wouldn’t release the decision on the phone…but the admission officer said the decision has been sent to my permanent address with FedEx…so…acceptance? Or rejection?

@ sweetestthing-- You already heard via mail? If so, did they send yours with FedEx or USPS priority mail?

yes i have- it was just a regular letter-sized envelope, 44 cent stamp

Damn, that was fast. Here’s to hoping I hear by Saturday.

haha i know! thankfully i live pretty close to providence. good luck everyone! hopefully your envelopes will be slightly bigger than mine :). HOYA SAXA!

@ sweetestthing, sorry to be annoying but did your online app status say spring 2011 or just fall 2010?
