Brown Personal Essay thingy Question! Help!

Hey congrats to everyone choosing to go to Brown! I just decided myself!

Anyway, are we all required to do that “Personal Essay” (describing academic goals, special interests and ‘something about you’)?? And if so, can we just do it in a numbered form with informal sentences? or does it have to be an actual essay??

ditto - this essay is painful...

The one for your advisor? It's really casual, for them to get to know you. Don't stress or put too much effort into it.

What essay? Did I miss a packet in the mail?

The only thing that I hate about California is having to wait an extra week for everything.

does stuff that you put in the form determine who your advisor will be?

No. You determine your own advisor by picking a CAP class (unless you don't pick a CAP class, in which case they do assign you an advisor). They'll tell you more about this over the summer.

um... I haven't had time to write my essay yet. I should be able to get it done and mail it tomorrow, wed. at the latest, but today is May 1st so either way it's late. On the accepted student message board, one of the admissions officers said that May 1st was more of a suggestion than a deadline, but do you think I should call and apologize for mailing it late or something? Or is it not that big of a deal? Thanks

I havent gotten anything yet since I just sent in my enrollment thing today.

haha smooth i know.

wow i totally forgot about that thing! oh well, mine is officially gonna be really late!
