Brown Transfer 2012

I have a sibling and got the message. It says above the message that it displays messages given to both everyone and you personally. So there’s no way of knowing…

I can’t activate my account, but I think you’d have to enroll before you’d be able to do that anyways.

For those who don’t have siblings in college, do you see this message?

I believe “to everyone and you personally” means that there are some messages that are sent to everyone (Ex.: We received your finanaid application) and others that are only intended to you (Ex: We never received your tax blah form).

However, that does not mean that they are sending messages to people to whom it is not relevant.

When you try to activate does everyone get the “”[Full Name] is not eligible for this service." message? I was surprised I was in the system, they had my full name.

What about non-FA applicants?

I didn’t apply for FA. It just says no information available

none…,…bummed out.

Norcal, did you apply for financial aid?

Do you guys think Brown FA only calculates FA packages for admitted applicants or they calculate FA packages for everyone and then pick from there based on their limited availability? I got a email response from Brown FA saying they are still calculating “FA awards” for transfer applicants and they may not have gotten to mine yet. I emailed because I was concerned about a missing document.

Sorry they said in the process of “REVIEWING”* awards.

Yes, I did apply for aid. Now I wish hadn’t spent the money on the profile seeing as it can only hurt my application.

Is anyone else also a little upset that they gave us misinformation? It just seems a little strange to me that they would tell us we could call for decisions on Monday only to change their minds at the last minute.

Yeah it bothers me… It makes me look sketchy haha  but I looked at the emails tonight for clues on who I could contact further, (I didn’t think there would be a signature) and I was surprised to find a name. Madeline Norton. I’ll probably call her number directly tomorrow.

Please do call her and let us know what she has to say. I’m very curious about the discrepancy.

I sent another email directly to Ms. Norton. If she hasn’t replied by the time I’m back from taking my last final, I’m calling her. She was very quick to respond when I emailed her last week.

I applied for aid and I don’t have any messages posted :(

Borges, do you have a sibling who will be attending college next year?

Just called. Admissions decisions have been mailed out!

Did you get a decision?
