!!! this this is crazy may 10th! That’s just over a week away! I’ve honestly been a lot happier this semester with everything, but there’s still no sociology department. It’s weird saying this, but if I get into Brown I’m not 100% certain I would go. Still, I would die to get in and have the option and I still am absolutely obsessed with Brown! Agh I haven’t really been thinking about it but now that its so close I’m freaking out! I just want to know and get in so badly! If we are receiving decision on May 10th does that mean we can call on that day to receive decisions?

I am not gonna make it… Dang, I really wanted to go to Brown. Of all the schools I knew I wouldn’t get into, Brown will hurt the most. It is basically Brown or UCLA, any other acceptances are just to pad the ego. Fingers and toes crossed.

If you don’t get in, work hard and try again next year!

Jedimasterham, I am a junior transfer. Im in at UCLA, I will just finish there. I want to go to grad school. We’ll see what happens.

Do you guys think that brown has already made decisions?

^I think Brown is seriously finalizing the decisions this week. They have probably weeded everyone they wanted to. They’re probably just looking at the final applications and taking it from there. This week is probably going to be hell for the admissions committee too. One of my documents (school report) came in late (April 20th), so I’m wondering how that might factor into the decision. It’s probably going to do me in, but oh well.

I actually called B today and the lady told me that they have already finalized the decisions and are gathering the credit eval packets.

And she said their goal is to mail the letters out by the end of this week

Wow really? Online my application says “admissions decisions still not available” or something to that route.

^ it will be only mail. the online thing said and so have some others on this thread. Hope for the best expect the worst i suppose…

I sent one more email yesterday asking if we could call for our decisions, and the representative said we could beginning Monday, the seventh. I’m guessing that will be the day people start receiving letters, not when they’ll be mailed. So our letters should be in the mail very soon! I don’t think I’ll call Monday. I was able to call and ask for my decision from my third choice, but I can’t do it for my first… Man I’m getting nervous!

By email or mail??? ;/ omg!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE. Be proud of yourself. We have done so much that there is nothing at this point to change decisions. :D

^seriously? I’m pretty sure that it has been verified that they will be by mail. Anyone know any figures? How many applicants versus how many available spots?

A contact I have at B indicated that the acceptance pool should be a fairly normal number with maybe 75 for fall and 45 for spring entrance.

I just read through all of these posts. So, will we be able to call starting on the 7th?

hi. I also applied to Brown as a transfer student. I got an acceptance letter from rice a few days ago and they wanted me to give them a response by May 11 so I am very happy to hear that I can call for a decision on May 7.
As far as my chances go, if I had applied as a freshman my chances would have been great because admissions is need-blind for freshmen. I am hoping that my merit will convince Brown that I am worth investing in.

@litton: Is that the amount expected to be accepted or to enroll? Also, do you know how many applicants there were this year?

@alyssa: Yes. Decisions will be released by phone starting the seventh, according to the representative I emailed.

I wonder if they are mailing decisions to home addresses or school addresses. I do not think I indicated anywhere the dates I will be at each address…

Hi guys. Based on the assumption that final decisions were already made and theyre organizing transfer credit packets, do you think the email I recieved from the associate admin director last night asking for my spring classes and units indicates that I have been accepted? … Because that’s the conclusion I’ve come to. But am I getting ahead of myself!? Lol
Also… Wow only 120 accepted students? I would imagine they would’ve taken more than that?

I would guess that you’re accepted
