Brown Transfer Question

im a second year at a california community college and i recently decided i want to apply to brown as a transfer. but if i apply, i would be starting my third year and on their webpage it says
" Brown requires degree candidates to complete a minimum of two years in residence and in full-time study, students with more than two years of college credit are discouraged from making transfer application."

But since i am at a community college, i would still need to spend at least 2 years at brown because i wont be taking any upper division at my current college since they arent even offered. My question is that, am i eligible to apply? I would make it clear on my application that i would have to spend 2 years at brown.

thanks

Have you had MORE than two years of credit?

uhhh…no.

Im on the same boat my friend. i don’t have two years of college credit though. one more semester and i will…

Is it not clear that you are supposed to have equal or less than two years experience?

Transfer into Brown is highly unlikely unless you have a very compelling story. Make a broad plan for transfer, don’t rely on Brown. Be sure to apply to your UC’s and CSU’s
